How can we help?

Making a wallpaper

How do I set the finished wallpaper on my iPhone?

iOS does not let apps change your wallpaper directly, so the last step happens in Photos. In the editor, tap Share, then Set as Wallpaper. WallyPaper saves the image to Photos and shows you the steps:

  1. Open Photos and select the wallpaper you just saved.
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Choose "Use as Wallpaper", then Add. iOS adds the depth effect automatically when it fits.

The wallpaper is rendered at your iPhone's exact screen resolution, so it fits without cropping.

WallyPaper couldn't find a subject in my photo.

Subject detection runs on your iPhone with Apple's Vision framework, and it works best when the person or pet is clearly in view, reasonably close, and well lit. If nothing is detected, tap Use Whole Photo to use the picture as it is, or try another photo.

Can I put two people, or a kid and a dog, on one wallpaper?

Yes. In the editor, open the Subject tab and tap Add Photo (or Camera). Each photo gets its own cutout. Tap a subject and use To Front and To Back to choose who is in front. Drag to move, pinch to resize, and flip to face the other way.

How do I add a name?

Open the Name tab, type a name or nickname, then pick a font design, weight, style and color. Drag the name anywhere on the canvas and pinch to resize it. Templates change the look but leave your name and layout where you put them.

Where are the wallpapers I made?

Every wallpaper is saved automatically to the library on the Home screen. Tap one to reopen it, tweak it, duplicate it or remake it. Wallpapers you saved with Set as Wallpaper or Save to Photos are also in the Photos app, and deleting a project from WallyPaper does not remove them from Photos.

How do I add the Home Screen widget?

Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap Edit and then Add Widget, search for WallyPaper, and add Latest Wallpapers. It rotates through your newest creations every hour, faces kept in view. The widget appears once you have made at least one wallpaper.

Why is there a WallyPaper mark on my wallpaper?

Wallpapers made with the free version carry a small WallyPaper watermark near the bottom. WallyPaper Pro removes it. Already made a wallpaper? After unlocking Pro, reopen it from the library and share it again.

WallyPaper Pro and purchases

What does Pro include, and what does it cost?

Pro removes the watermark and unlocks every gradient, mesh and holiday theme background, custom colors, every font design and name style, and the Pro templates and art styles. One tier, three ways to get it:

  • Monthly: $2.99 per month, auto-renewing.
  • Yearly: $19.99 per year, auto-renewing, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
  • Lifetime: $29.99, one-time purchase.

Prices are in US dollars; the App Store shows your local price. Tap Get Pro on the Home screen, or any item marked with a lock in the editor.

I got a new iPhone. How do I get Pro back?

Sign in with the same Apple Account you used to buy Pro, then open WallyPaper's settings (the gear on the Home screen) and tap Restore Purchases. The same button is on the Pro screen. Apple's purchase records do the rest; no account or login is needed with us.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone go to Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions, choose WallyPaper, and tap Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, under the App Store terms. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in the app went wrong, email us too, so we can fix it.

Privacy and devices

Does WallyPaper upload my photos?

No. The cutout is made on your iPhone by Apple's Vision framework, and the app makes no network connections of its own. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking. The Privacy Policy has the full details.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app. Everything WallyPaper stores lives inside the app's private storage on your iPhone and goes with it. Wallpapers you saved to Photos stay in Photos until you delete them there. Individual projects can be deleted from the library at any time.

Which iPhones does WallyPaper work on?

WallyPaper is designed for iPhone and needs iOS 18 or later. It works offline; only App Store purchases need a connection.
